Cloud security engineers specialize in protecting cloud environments from threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access. They design and implement security controls across cloud platforms, configure identity and access management (IAM) policies, manage encryption, set up monitoring and alerting for security events, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, and FedRAMP.
